To support the Accounting Support Unit (ASU), Malteser International is looking for a Procurement Compliance Officer, based in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

As a Procurement Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for verifying the completeness of procurement documents from MI locations worldwide in accordance with MI Guidelines. You will report to the line manager and work in close coordination with the Headquarter in Cologne, Germany.

Your responsibilities:

  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of procurement documents from MI locations worldwide as per the MI Operational Handbook
  • Identify and report document discrepancies to Headquarters (HQ) staff
  • Manage Accounting Support Unit (ASU) office procurement, inventory and related documentation
  • Support ASU accounting tasks as needed
  • Collaborate with ASU accounting staff, global logistics teams and HQ administration
  • Assist with travel, logistics, and reimbursements for meetings in Thailand
  • Review other project-related documents when assigned by supervisors

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Logistics Management, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in an administrative role, preferably in the INGO sector
  • Knowledge of documentation requirements by international donors in humanitarian and development projects, particularly in procurement and logistics
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken); French or German is a plus but not required
  • Strong organizational skills, flexibility, diplomacy, and negotiation abilities
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to communicate effectively with staff from diverse backgrounds
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience in finance/accounting is an advantage

What we offer:

  • Start Date: as soon as possible
  • Duty Station: Chiang Mai, Thailand
  • Duration of contract: 1 year (extendable)
  • Salary according to qualification and experience, insurance package
  • Full time position (40 hours/week)
